1982
Renato Calandrelli begins
First Card Company in
Cranston, RI
with a staff of 4-5 employees and
three power-press hot stamping
machines to produce jewelry
packaging cards.
1984
First Card Company
relocates to Grosvenor
Ave, East Providence, RI
and expands their manufacturing
capabilities by adding plastic
extrusion — allowing the product
offering to expand to include
custom extrude profiles.
1984
Lamination capabilities evolved
allowing the product offering to include
pressure sensitive label stocks, bar code
labels, and security labels.
1990
First Card Company relocates to 79
Commercial Way, East Providence
which is where we still call home today! The
additional modern space allows for further investment in equipment by adding flexographic
printing and expanding the power-press and hot
stamping departments to support growth
1992
Investments continued throughout
this period as technology evolved
into the computerized graphics and
business systems to better serve
our customers

Printing capabilities expand to
include digital printing
allowing for shorter runs, lower cost,
and quicker turn-around on orders

First Card Develops revolutionary
products — EZ RING solutions, a one piece system
These products provide a better presentation of carded and box jewelry rings and reduces losses at the retail level due to theft

Daniel Calandrelli, third generation, joins the business
leading the company into the next generation in innovative manufacturing to keep us ahead of the future trends in packaging
